I am photographer specialising in landscape and nature images. I am currently based in the Highland capital of Inverness, but have also lived in Dundee, Edinburgh, Falmouth and (briefly) Gainesville, Florida. Additionally I have been fortunate enough to have travelled to a few places a lot of people never get to, including remote areas of Kenya, the mountains of Norway and the St. Kilda archipelago. I have tried to maintain a balance between all these places in this website.

I have spent my time as a student studying biology, and this has influenced my photography. In particular I am interested in insects and other bugs, and as a result I have recently been doing much more macro photography.

My first digital camera was a Nikon D50, but I currently use a D300s. All of the images on this website have been taken with one or other of these cameras. I own three lenses at the moment: As 18-55mm wide angle; a 70-300mm telephoto and a Sigma 105mm macro.
